It’s easy to treat child sexual abuse as one more thing to stress out about, which is why we’re breaking it down. Protecting kids doesn’t have to be overwhelming — in fact, there are protective measures we can take that can come as easy as taking a deep breath.
Five Days of Action will help communities and parents/caregivers take it One Day at a Time and will offer tips, tools, activities, and resources that are relevant to the current environment.
Raising awareness and inspiring adults to take action to protect children from sexual abuse.
5 Days of Action postponed to October 26-30, 2020
Led by the YMCA Guardians for Child Protection, the goal is to engage communities, improve internal operations, and advance policy and environmental change to protect youth from sexual abuse.
YMCAs and youth serving organizations all across the country will come together to spread prevention messages on social media, host events to train parents and community volunteers, and educate the community about keeping youth safe from sexual abuse.
Last year was the biggest year yet for Five Days of Action, with 428 participating YMCAs, 160 participating partners, and 49 states represented.
Register today to ensure you don't miss any of the planning fun, including the release of the kit and other support materials you may find helpful. Come together with hundreds of youth-serving organizations to make your community a safer place for the kids you serve!
